Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with The Shelf. This policy applies to The Shelf and its add-ons (Documents and The Shelf TV), all of which are one-off purchases.
1. Refund period
If The Shelf isn’t right for you, email us within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. Please include your order number or the email address you used at checkout.
2. How refunds are made
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, so refunds are returned through Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it can take several business days to appear. When a refund is made, the licence key for that purchase is cancelled and you should stop using that product.
3. Your rights under consumer law
If you buy as a consumer in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that The Shelf is of acceptable quality, fit for any purpose you told us about, and matches its description. If The Shelf fails one of these guarantees, you are entitled to a remedy (for example, a fix or a refund) even after the period above. Consumers in other countries may have similar rights under their local law. This policy does not limit any of those rights.
4. Chargebacks
Please contact us first if something is wrong. We can usually sort it out quickly, and a refund through us is faster than a dispute with your bank.
5. How to ask for a refund
Send us a message through our contact form with your order number or checkout email address and, if you are happy to share it, what went wrong. It helps us make The Shelf better.
